Independent Game Developer / Gameplay Engineer & Technical Designer

- Gameplay systems end-to-end: mechanics, production, tuning data, pacing, onboarding, WebGL, and kiosk/arcade constraints.
- Modern dev workflow: consistent use of Cursor and similar tooling for organizing, feature implementation, and iteration, with direct ownership of design intent, integration, debugging, review, and playtesting.
- Portfolio & presentation: built and maintain mcharafeddinedev.github.io (Jekyll, custom SCSS, vanilla JS) and public GameDev-Portfolio repos alongside shipped games.
- Multi-engine work across Unity (Access Granted, Dread & Breakfast, Trenchglow, BREATHE) and Unreal (Overclocked: DDM, I AM INEVITABLE, jams, and class work).
- In development: UE5.5 (C++) first-person shooter wave-survival prototype (private IP)—combat, enemy AI, and escalating rounds in the playable loop; facility vertical slice under active hardening; no public build yet. Also in development: UE5 (C++) friendslop-style co-op shopping mall prototype (private IP)—shared chaotic jobs, proximity voice, and escalating day-shift disasters; core loop and multiplayer scaffolding in progress.

- Overclocked: Data Dash MAX (UE5 C++): arcade + PC controls, procedural patterns, HUD flow, boards, and cabinet tuning.

- Amateur / semi-pro FPS competition background (Call of Duty, Apex Legends) — informs feel for action combat shooters, their environment/level design, readable combat mechanics + feedback, & more.
